Approach

Therapy is a co-creative process weaving together your expertise of self, expanding awareness, and increased self understanding with my training and capacities as external support. This partnership encourages your achievement of dreams, goals, personal growth, and healing. I use an integrated approach, following the wisdom of body and mind to uncover the profound knowledge often subconsciously concealed. Since playful learning significantly decreases the amount of practice and time needed to integrate new skills, I enjoy exploration through creative and fun exercises tailored to your learning style.

Education

  • Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Somatic Counseling: Body Psychotherapy from Naropa, University.

  • Bachelor's Degree in General Studies: Family Life Emphasis from Brigham Young University.

  • Certificate in Eastern and Western hands-on therapies from CenterPoint Shiatsu and Massage Therapy School. My training included many hands on therapies that facilitate healing emotional trauma.

I have studied Trauma-informed care and parts work, and apprenticed with David Tresemer Ph.D. for over four years. He trained me in Anthroposophic Psychology (the study of the wisdom of the human being), Astrosophy (wisdom of the stars), and embodied Sidereal (Vedic) Astrology as healing and resourcing guides to provide unique, individualized therapy. The diversity of my education forms the foundation of my integrated approach to therapy, interlacing various threads of therapeutic thought including but not limited to the items listed above, Human Development, Transpersonal Psychology, Existentialism, Somatic Psychotherapy, Social Justice, and Humanistic approaches.
